Army Chief, French Ambassador Discuss Military Cooperation

Amman, July 23 (Petra) – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Huneiti, on Wednesday received the French Ambassador to the Kingdom, Alexis Grandmaison, and his accompanying delegation at the General Command.
The meeting, attended by senior officers from the Jordanian Armed Forces and the French Defense Attaché in Amman, covered aspects of military cooperation between the two countries and means to bolster joint coordination across various fields, in a manner that serves mutual interests and supports regional security and stability.
Huneiti underlined the importance of consolidating the existing strategic partnership with France, reflecting the depth of relations and longstanding cooperation in defense matters.
For his part, the French Ambassador commended Jordan's pivotal role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in advancing security and stability in the region, and lauded the efficiency and preparedness of the Jordanian Armed Forces.
