IDF carries airstrikes on Houthi targets in Yemen

(MENAFN) The Israeli military announced it carried out airstrikes on Houthi targets at the port of Hodeidah in northwestern Yemen on Monday, according to official statements.

The operation targeted and reportedly dismantled various components of Houthi military infrastructure. This included equipment used to rebuild parts of the port, fuel storage units, boats allegedly used in operations against Israel and in the surrounding maritime area, and other Houthi assets described as being tied to military activities.

"The targets struck demonstrate how the Houthi terrorist regime utilizes civilian infrastructure for military and terrorist purposes," the statement read. It also accused the port of being a hub for transferring weapons from Iran.

In a separate message, Israel’s Defense Minister stated, "the IDF vigorously enforces any attempt to restore terrorist infrastructures that were attacked in the past," and added, "the Houthis will pay a heavy price for the missiles they fired at Israel."
