Al-Shifa Director Warns: Gaza Is Dying In Silence - Hospitals Closed And Genocide Continues
Dr. Mohammad Abu Salmiya, director of Al-Shifa Medical Complex, warned that the situation in Gaza has reached a catastrophic stage, with all medical supplies, food, and fuel completely depleted. This has led to the total shutdown and closure of hospitals across the Gaza Strip.
Abu Salmiya highlighted that medical teams are working under inhumane conditions amid the absence of basic life necessities and care, expressing a deep sense of abandonment by the international community, especially Arab and Islamic countries that have forsaken Gaza in its darkest hour.
He issued an urgent plea to the world to immediately open the crossings and allow the entry of medical and humanitarian aid to save what remains of life in Gaza, warning that the Strip is facing a systematic genocide combining killing by starvation and continuous bombardment, all happening before the eyes of the world without any effective intervention.
In recent hours, Gaza's hospitals have received the bodies of several martyrs killed in ongoing Israeli attacks, notably near aid distribution points.
The body of a martyr who had been missing for days arrived at Al-Awda Hospital after occupation forces targeted a group of displaced people waiting for humanitarian aid on Salah al-Din Street, south of Wadi Gaza in central Gaza.
In a related development, Al-Shifa Hospital received the bodies of two martyrs killed during Israeli shelling of civilians gathered in the Netzarim area, south of Gaza City, while waiting for aid.
An Israeli airstrike on the Al-Saftawi area, north of Gaza City, also resulted in one martyr, while the body of another martyr was recovered from the Al-Zahraa area and transferred to Al-Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
These attacks come as the Israeli army continues targeting unarmed civilians, especially those gathering to seek sustenance amid the worsening siege and famine.
