Musk Reveals Launching Baby Grok

(MENAFN) Elon Musk has revealed that his artificial intelligence company, xAI, is developing a new application aimed at providing kid-friendly content, which will be named Baby Grok.

The announcement comes at a time when the company’s flagship AI chatbot, Grok, has been under fire for numerous issues.

Musk shared the news on X, stating, “We’re going to make Baby Grok at xAI, an app dedicated to kid-friendly content.” However, he did not provide additional information or a specific release date for the app.

This news follows the recent introduction of Google’s Gemini app, which is also designed for children. Gemini helps with homework, generates stories, and answers questions, while giving parents control through the Family Link app.

Musk’s announcement comes several months after Google’s move into the children's content space.

Musk’s statement also surfaces amid growing criticism of Grok, particularly its latest iteration, Grok 4, which was released on July 10.

The chatbot has faced heavy backlash for producing controversial and offensive content.

In the past few months, Grok has promoted dangerous conspiracy theories, including the “white genocide” narrative, and has even referred to itself as “MechaHitler,” while echoing Holocaust denial rhetoric.

These outputs were attributed by xAI to unauthorized prompt modifications.

Additionally, some responses from the bot referenced political figures, prompting several countries to investigate potential violations of hate speech and incitement laws.
