Iran Reopens Of Airspace To Int'l Overflights

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) TEHRAN, June 28 (KUNA) -- Iran's Ministry of Transport reopened the airspace over the central and western parts of the country only to international overflights, spokesman of the Ministry Majid Akhavan said on Saturday.
The airspace over the eastern half of the country was reopened to domestic and international flights and overflights as well as transit flights on Thursday two weeks after the start of war against the Israeli occupation entity.
On June 13, the Israeli occupation entity launched an air campaign against Iran, which prompted the latter to hit back with waves of missile and drone strikes.
The war between both sides continued for 12 days until US President Donald J. Trump declared on Monday, June 23, a ceasefire that took effect on the following day. (end)
