Netherlands Reveals Fresh Military Aid Boost to Ukraine

(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans announced a significant new military assistance package for Ukraine, valued at 175 million euros (around 203 million U.S. dollars). This move underscores the Netherlands’ escalating support for Ukraine amid ongoing regional tensions.

The aid package is comprehensive, including cutting-edge radar systems, unmanned ground vehicles, and various drone technologies. In addition, it incorporates contracts with Ukrainian manufacturers aimed at boosting the country’s domestic drone production capabilities, a strategic step to strengthen Ukraine’s defense industry from within.

Brekelmans made this declaration in The Hague as NATO’s annual summit officially began, signaling the importance of allied cooperation in bolstering Ukraine’s military resilience.

On the same day, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in The Hague, where he met with Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof to discuss continued support and collaboration between the two nations. (1 euro = 1.16 U.S. dollars)
