Khost Hosts Cricket Match For Quake Relief
KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has announced that a charity cricket match will be held today (Friday) in southeastern Khost province to raise funds for victims of the recent earthquake in the eastern provinces.
According to the ACB, Afghan cricket players-split into two teams-will take the field in a friendly match aimed at collecting donations for those affected by the earthquake, particularly in Kunar province.
The match is scheduled to begin at 2:30 PM at the Rahmat Wali Masroor Cricket Stadium in Khost.
Sources confirmed that tickets for the event are priced at 50 afghanis each, and all proceeds will be donated to the earthquake relief effort.
The ACB urged citizens to attend the event, stating:“Come watch this exciting match live and contribute to helping our fellow citizens in need. Kunar is not alone-Khost and the entire nation stand with them.”
The match will feature a mix of current national team players, former internationals, and domestic cricket stars.
