Schoenherr has announced that Attila K Csongrady and Peter Redo , widely recognised as one of the most respected English law debt finance teams in the CEE market, have now joined the firm as partner and counsel, respectively, effective 1 September 2025 .
With over 30 years of combined on-the-ground experience in Central and Eastern Europe, together with more than a decade of training in the London market, Attila and Peter bring a rare and highly credible mix of English law expertise and deep regional insight . Since committing their careers to CEE, they have been at the forefront of shaping the region's cross-border finance market , consistently delivering landmark results on many of its most complex transactions.
Schoenherr advises corporates, sponsors, funds, major banks, financial institutions, sovereigns and quasi-sovereigns across a wide range of finance products, including acquisition finance, project, asset and infrastructure finance, real estate finance, structured finance and debt restructurings, as well as green and ESG-linked products.
About Attila K Csongrady
Qualified in England & Wales and New York, Attila has over 20 years of international debt finance experience, including six years in Allen & Overy's London leveraged finance practice and a secondment to the leveraged finance team of a US financial institution in London. He has led many of the region's landmark financings across acquisition finance, project and infrastructure finance, real estate finance, structured finance and debt restructurings. Recognised by Chambers, Legal500 and IFLR1000 for his expertise, Attila is known for his strategic, solutions-driven approach and ability to close complex deals under pressure.
About Peter Redo
An English-qualified lawyer recognised by Legal500 as a Rising Star, Peter focuses on leveraged acquisition finance, project finance, structured finance and restructurings. He has acted for major banks, funds and sponsors on large cross-border transactions, including mandates for Macquarie, Meridiam, Erste, UniCredit, RBI and Citi. Peter's experience includes secondments to Citi's EMEA Loans Structuring & Syndication desk in London, UniCredit's ECA finance desk in Vienna, and Allen & Overy's Singapore and Madrid offices.
