Russian Infantry Activity Near Ukraine's Border Drops Sharply Due To Heavy Losses SBGS
Andrii Demchenko, spokesperson for Ukraine's State Border Guard Service (SBGS), said this on Ukrainian television, according to Ukrinform.
"In the areas where State Border Guard Service units are operating, the enemy continues to use small assault groups to try to cross into Ukrainian territory and expand the combat zone. However, the number of such attempts has recently decreased," Demchenko said.
He stressed that Ukrainian defenders are effectively countering these incursions, preventing Russian forces from achieving their tactical objectives. Ukrainian border units regularly eliminate Russian infantry groups before they can advance or dig in.

At first, they seemed indifferent to these casualties, but now we're seeing a clear drop in activity, likely due to a shortage of manpower. Even their use of quad bikes and other motorized equipment has declined," he added.
Earlier reports said that the Russian military had been intensifying pressure along Ukraine's northern border in the Sumy region, using mobile assault units.
