(MENAFN) US President Donald Trump stated on Friday that he does not intend to communicate with tech billionaire Elon Musk following their recent heated exchanges.

“No, I don't have any plans,” Trump said to reporters when asked about the possibility of speaking with his former adviser, as reported by various sources.

When pressed on his opinion of Musk, Trump replied, “I’m not thinking about Elon. You know, I just wish him well.”

The president emphasized that he is “not really interested” in making any moves to repair relations with the billionaire entrepreneur.

The friction between the two began Thursday, after Trump criticized Musk for opposing a Republican-supported measure that is projected to significantly impact the federal deficit. The dispute quickly escalated, causing tension within Congress and leading to a drop in Tesla’s stock price.
