Israeli Media's Fabricated Documents Aim To Stir Up Tension Between Qatar, US

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) DOHA, June 10 (KUNA) -- Qatari International Media Office stated on Tuesday that fabricated documents are circulating in the Israeli media in an attempt to sow tension and division between Qatar and the US.
In a press release, the media office said that this came at a crucial stage of Qatar's mediation efforts to reach a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
It added that it is a deliberate distraction to deflect attention from negative coverage of their actions in Gaza, including those reported in the news over the past week, at a moment when a breakthrough is within reach.
This tactic has been used previously by those who want diplomacy to fail, adding that they do not want Qatar's work with the Trump administration on the Gaza file and other regional files to succeed in bringing peace to the region, the statement added.
Similar methods have been used against those who have spoken out against the continuation of the war, or worked diplomatically to bring the hostages home, including members of Trump's administration, in an effort to discredit them and undermine the diplomatic process.
The media office urged all media outlets to remain vigilant against misinformation spread by those who want to disrupt the negotiations by any means necessary in order to prolong the conflict. (end)
