
Qatar Participates In Arab League Event On International Day For Biological Diversity
Doha: Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MECC), participated in an event organised by the General Secretariat of the Arab League at its headquarters in Cairo to mark the International Day for Biological Diversity 2025, observed annually on May 22.
Qatar's participation reflects its commitment to supporting regional and international efforts aimed at protecting biodiversity and conserving natural resources, in line with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
The event was attended by Assistant Director of the Wildlife Development Department at MECC, Khalid Jumaa Al-Muhanadi, along with representatives from Arab countries and regional and international organisations concerned with environmental issues.
The event featured panel discussions and presentations highlighting key environmental challenges and successful experiences in biodiversity conservation across the region.
