Medium pacer Mukesh Kumar was the hero as Delhi Capitals beat Lucknow Super Giants by eight wickets in the IPL on Tuesday.

Kumar took four wickets for 33 runs as Delhi restricted Lucknow to 159 for six.

In reply, Delhi reached home in just 17.5 overs, thanks to skipper KL Rahul's unbeaten 42-ball 57 as all-rounder Axar Patel remained not out on 34 off 20 ball.

Delhi are now in second position in the points table with 12 points from eight matches with only Gujarat Titans (12 points) above them on better net run rate.

Lucknow are in fifth place with 10 points nine matches.

On Wednesday, Sunrisers Hyderabad will host Mumbai Indians (6 pm UAE Time).
