March 28, Amman (Petra) Ayman Safadi, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs, phoned his Iraqi counterpart, Fuad Masoum.
The two ministers talked about ways to improve the two brotherly nations' long-standing fraternal ties during the call. They reaffirmed the strategic importance of these ties, their unity, and the continuous efforts to strengthen them via all-encompassing collaboration that is advantageous to both Jordan and Iraq.
By creating and disseminating fake videos about the Iraq-Palestine game in Amman on March 25, 2025, the two ministers addressed the desperate and deceptive efforts by some people or organizations to sabotage the friendly ties between Jordan and Iraq and sow discord between the two brotherly peoples.
Safadi stated during the conversation that technical follow-up and investigations into the public video have definitively demonstrated that it is fake and contrived. He went on to say that inquiries are being conducted to find the people responsible for spreading these insults and lies and to take appropriate legal action against them.
"The historic Jordanian-Iraqi relations and the awareness of the two brotherly peoples are too strong to be affected by fabrications, lies, and desperate attempts to sow hatred and discord," Safadi and the Iraqi Foreign Minister stressed.
