(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)
Amman, March 15 (Petra) – Raed Al Khatab, Director of the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), confirmed that the weather will be closely monitored through the end of the week, with temperatures expected to drop and cold weather returning, coinciding with the start of the last ten days of Ramadan.
In an interview with Jordan News Agency (Petra) on Saturday, Al Khatab forecasted rainfall towards the end of the week due to the anticipated weather conditions, adding that the rainy season will continue until the first third of May.
He also noted that the spring equinox will occur on March 20, and between this time and the end of the rainy season in May, the region may experience the effects of "Khamasini" depressions.
The kingdom has witnessed warm weather since the middle of this week, with temperatures recorded about 10 to 11 degrees Celsius higher than the average for this time of year, particularly over the weekend. The weather was sunny and warm in most areas, with relatively hot conditions in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
