Kuwait's Nawaf Al-Hajri Wins Khalifa International Award


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Feb 28 (KUNA) -- Kuwait University recently announced on Friday that Dr. Nawaf Al-Hajri from the Faculty of Life Sciences has been honored with the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation for 2025.
The UAE award, in its 17th session, was given to Dr. Al-Hajri in recognition of his exceptional contributions to sustainable agricultural practices and his commitment to enhancing food and water security.
In a press statement, the university emphasized that Dr. Al-Hajri's innovative development and production projects have significantly impacted the agricultural sector.
Dr. Al-Hajri thanked the award organizers, Kuwait University and the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, for their steadfast support throughout his research career.
Dr. Al-Hajri is well-regarded in his field, having presented numerous research projects that promote sustainability in agriculture and the environment.
The Khalifa International Award, established by late president of the UAE Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed in 2007, aims to advance agricultural innovation and date palm research worldwide, recognizing outstanding contributions and fostering knowledge exchange among professionals in this domain. (end)
