FBI investigates attacks on Tesla, US officials promise severe punishment
(MENAFN) The leading law enforcement official in the United States has strongly condemned a series of recent attacks on Tesla property, the electric car company headed by Elon Musk, a major financial supporter of US President Donald Trump's Political campaigns. She promised that those responsible would face severe punishment.
Attorney General Pam Bondi described the coordinated attacks on Tesla property, stating: “The swarm of violent attacks on Tesla property is nothing short of domestic terrorism."
She further remarked: "The Department of Justice has already charged several perpetrators with that in mind, including in cases that involve charges with five-year mandatory minimum sentences. We will continue investigations that impose severe consequences on those involved in these attacks, including those operating behind the scenes to coordinate and fund these crimes.”
The FBI has initiated an active investigation into the recent attacks directed at Tesla vehicles and dealership locations. This investigation was confirmed by Dan Bongino, the newly appointed deputy director of the FBI, on Wednesday evening, according to a report from a news website.
