Trump’s Envoy to Push for European Leadership in Ukraine Conflict Resolution

(MENAFN) Keith Kellogg, the US presidential envoy for the Ukraine conflict, is set to meet with European officials in the coming weeks as part of a diplomatic effort to advance President Donald Trump’s agenda, according to reports from Bloomberg and The Telegraph.

Kellogg's diplomatic campaign is expected to begin at the Munich Security Conference (MSC) on Friday, with the US aiming to shift the financial and military burden of the conflict onto its European allies. Sources familiar with the plans told the outlets that Kellogg intends to gather feedback from trans-Atlantic partners on their willingness to lead efforts in providing deterrent forces to ensure any peace settlement with Russia is upheld.

Additionally, Kellogg is expected to make it clear that the US has no plans to deploy American troops to protect Ukraine. Instead, he will push for European NATO allies to take a more active role in the region and increase their defense spending, aligning with Trump’s broader goal of reducing American involvement in overseas military conflicts.
