
Qatar Strongly Condemns Assassination Of Afghan Acting Minister Of Refugees
Doha: The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the assassination of Afghanistan's Acting Minister of Refugees and Repatriation Khalil-ur-Rahman Haqqani.
Haqqani was killed along with a number of his companions in an explosion in Kabul, which also resulted in injuries.
A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) reiterated the State of Qatar's firm position rejecting violence, terrorism and criminal acts, including political assassinations, regardless of the motives and reasons.
The MoFA statement carried the State of Qatar's condolences to the families of the victims, the caretaker government and the people of Afghanistan, and its wishes of a speedy recovery for the injured.
It also affirmed Qatar's firm support for the Afghan people and all efforts that enhance security and stability in Afghanistan.
