(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar says his country supports friendly relations with Ukraine and Russia, and hopes to help Kyiv and Moscow settle the "conflict".

This is reported by NHK , Ukrinform saw.

"The use of force does not resolve problems between countries. He added that the solution will not emerge from the battlefield.," Jaishankar said.

According to the chief of India's diplomacy, the country should be more active in helping find a solution to the conflict (this is how the Russian war against Ukraine is referred to in India - ed.), since there are not many countries that are actually talking to both Ukraine and Russia.
