Qatar Customs Thwarts Heroin Smuggling Attempt At Hamad International Airport

Doha, Qatar: customs agents at Hamad International Airport foiled an attempt to smuggle 8.64 kilograms of heroin hidden inside a passenger's luggage.

Customs officers grew suspicious of a traveler's luggage upon arrival, and after a thorough inspection and manual search, the bag revealed the contraband stashed in secret compartments.

Qatar Customs has been issuing continuous warnings against carrying illegal substances into the country.

Customs agents are provided with all means of support including the latest devices and continuous training to read the body language of passengers and to be aware of the latest methods followed by smugglers.
