Kamala Harris energizes campaign with strong attack on Trump

(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Kamala Harris energized her campaign with a vigorous speech during her first rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a key battleground state for her anticipated face-off against Donald Trump. Addressing a lively crowd, Harris launched a pointed critique of Trump, denouncing his "extremism" and accusing him of aiming to reverse the progress made under the current administration. She underscored her commitment to values of freedom, compassion, and justice, contrasting them with what she characterized as Trump’s vision of chaos and division. Her supporters responded with chants of encouragement as she reaffirmed her resolve not to let the country regress.

At the same time, Donald Trump held a virtual press conference, where he expressed his belief that defeating Harris would be a simpler task compared to facing Joe Biden. He indicated his readiness for debates with Harris, highlighting his confidence in the electoral contest.

In parallel, President Joe Biden, who had been recuperating from Covid-19 at his Rehoboth Beach residence, returned to the White House. Biden had announced his withdrawal from the campaign in a letter to the American people on Sunday, marking a significant shift in the political landscape. He is scheduled to address the nation on Wednesday evening to elaborate on his decision and the implications for the upcoming election.
