Man Confesses To Murder, Dismemberment After Argument In Balqa

Amman, July 17 (Petra) - A man has confessed to murdering his friend, chopping up his body, and dumping the body parts in different areas in Salhoub, Balqa, according to authorities.
Unidentified human remains had been found two days ago in an uninhabited area of Salhoub. After running various tests, forensic experts were able to identify the victim. Police officers investigating the case narrowed down the pool of suspects to a friend of the victim, who, during interrogation, confessed to stabbing his friend following an altercation, dismembering the corpse into several parts, and disposing of them in different locations.
According to the media spokesperson for the Public Security Department, other parts of the body were found in the suspect's home as well as other locations. The search for the remaining body parts is still ongoing, he added.
The suspect has been detained for 15 days in a correction and rehabilitation center on charges of premeditated murder, as decided by the Public Prosecutor of the Grand Criminal Court.
