18 Killed, 19 Injured As Passenger Bus Hits Milk Tanker In N. India


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) NEW DELHI, July 10 (KUNA) -- At least 18 Indians were killed and 19 injured on Wednesday after a passenger bus hit a milk tanker in Unnao district of northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
The Press Trust of India quoted District Magistrate Gaurang Rathi as saying that a passenger bus heading to Delhi from Bihar hit the milk tanker on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway near Jojikot village in Unnao district, killing 18 passengers and injuring 19 more.
The injured were taken to a nearby hospital and an investigation was launched into the incident, he added.
President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed their grief at the loss of life in the incident and wished speedy recovery of the injured. (end)
