Kuwait Disabled Sports Club Wins West Asia Clubs' Championship


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) AMMAN, June 6 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Disabled Sports Club for wheelchair basketball was crowned on Thursday champions of the 8th future generation championship for West Asia clubs for the disabled following a convincing win in the final against Iraqi side Wisam Al-Majd.
In his remarks to KUNA, Shafi Al-Hajri, head of the club, said that all the amazing performances from the players representing Kuwait, come from the unmatched support that Kuwaiti leaders and Sports figures are providing.
He dedicated the win to His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, his Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, and Disabled Sports family, affirming that the club seeks to achieve greater things in the future.
Al-Hajri also praised the highly technical gameplay that the team played throughout the tournament which was the driving factor that lead the team to winning the championship. (end)
