Envoy Donates Peruvian Stamps, Coins To Qatar Philatelic Center

Doha: The Embassy of Peru in Qatar has presented a collection of antique stamps and coins from Peru to the Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center.

This donation was delivered by Ambassador of Peru to Qatar H E José A. Benzaquen Perea to Director of Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center, Hussein Rajab Ismail. The collection includes 60 old stamps from 1916 to 1999, which exhibit different aspects of Peruvian culture, among which historical figures and moments, archaeological monuments, as well as fauna of Peru.

Rajab Ismail expressed that this donation will be a valuable addition to the collection that will allow the exhibition of Peruvian philately with Qataris and foreigners and will be permanently exhibited in the Centre.
