Jordan Accredits Syrian Medicine Colleges

Amman, July 31 (Petra) -- The Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions (AQACHEI) began accrediting medical colleges in Syria after the cabinet ratified an agreement between AQACHEI and the Syrian Ministry of Higher Education.
A team from AQACHEI commenced visits this week to the Faculty of medicine at Damascus University in accordance with standards recognized by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME).
The AQACHEI has obtained recognition from the WFME, which enables it to accredit medical colleges in higher education institutions in accordance with the regulations and standards approved by WFME.
