(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko and U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink have discussed cooperation in the field of security and energy.

Klitschko said this in a post on the messaging app telegram , Ukrinform reports.

"I met with U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink and representatives of the embassy at the city hall. We discussed the economic and social situation in Kyiv, as well as the issue of preparing the capital for the heating season. We talked about further cooperation in the field of security, renewal of energy infrastructure, and the challenges that local self-government faces today," Klitschko said.

He thanked U.S. diplomats for the comprehensive support and assistance that the United States has been providing to Ukraine and its capital.
