Qatar Museums Hosts Art Exhibitions During The Summer


(MENAFN- Asdaf News) Throughout the summer, Qatar Museums host a variety of art exhibitions in which they highlight both local and parts of worldwide culture.

This summer, as numerous exhibitions came to an end, Qatar Museums (QM) extended an invitation to the general public to immerse themselves in the country's rich history and culture and take advantage of their present offers.

Eduardo Navarro's show,“The (Free Spirits of The Wild Horses),” is now on view in Gallery 4 at Fire Station and will shortly be closing.

The Panamanian Embassy in Qatar has collaborated in the presentation of this exhibition.

The exhibition Your Brain to Me, My Brain to You by Pipilotti Rist is also among them. It is on view there through July 15 at the QBEC Gallery of the National Museum of Qatar. Pipilotti Rist, a famous Swiss artist, has created a brand-new, sizable installation called Your Brain to Me, My Brain to You.

The navigational“pixels” made up of 12,000 LED lights stretched on cables and placed around the gallery are a major component of the project.

Olafur Eliasson's (The Curious Desert), on display at the National Museum of Qatar, is open through August 15. It combines a sizable gallery display at the National Museum of Qatar with a dozen brand-new site-specific works situated close to the Al Thakhira Mangrove in Northern Qatar.

Eliasson views the twelve temporary pavilions that make up the outdoor project as creating an artistic laboratory in the desert. The gallery section of the exhibition at the National Museum of Qatar showcases works from many eras and mediums throughout Eliasson's career.

(A Sneak Peek at Qatar Auto Museum) will be on display in the Mawater Gallery of the National Museum of Qatar until January 20, 2024.

The exhibition, A Sneak Peek into Qatar Auto Museum, honours the upcoming museum and celebrates its vision to inspire the next generation of innovators, designers, engineers, collectors, and policymakers via a passion for automobiles.

Till August 5, the Mathaf Arab Museum of Modern Art is hosting the show,“Beirut and the Golden Sixties.” The show pays homage to the 1960s Beirut art scene, which saw a burst of innovation and creative experimentation and became a destination for many intellectuals and artists from across the world. It spans the 1958 Lebanon Crisis through the 1975 Lebanese Civil War.

Additionally, the exhibition (I Am The Traveller And Also The Road) will be on view at the Mathaf Arab Museum of Modern Art until August 5 and tells the tale of a voyage that combines the perspectives of twelve outstanding photographers now active in the West Asia and North Africa area.

Mosques in Qatar: Then and Now, which is on display at the Museum of Islamic Art until August 12 and takes visitors on a photographic tour of Qatar starting at one of the country's earliest mosques at Murwab and continuing through the 20th century's economic boom to the present day's modern architecture and design, where despite these changes in architecture, the mosque still plays a significant role in the community.

The exhibition will also honour and highlight a number of the well-known Qatari imams who have led the community and muezzins who have rang the call to prayer.

At the Qatar Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Design, Fashion, and Technology (M7), the (Zwara: Focus On Forever Valentino Exhibition) will also be on display until September 10.
