Defense Forces Continue Offensive In Three Directions - General Staff

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue their offensive in the Bakhmut, Melitopol and Berdiansk sectors.

Spokesperson for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Kovaliov said this on the air of the United News telethon, Ukrinform reports.

"The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct offensive operations in the Bakhmut, Melitopol, and Berdiansk directions. They gained a foothold on the boundaries achieved, inflict fire damage with artillery on the identified enemy targets,” he said.

According to Kovaliov, Ukrainian troops continue to conduct offensive operations in the Bakhmut direction. In particular, to the north and south of the city of Bakhmut, they continue to put pressure on the enemy, knocking them out of previously captured positions.

The Defense Forces have partial success in the area of Klishchiivka, where they are entrenching themselves on the new front lines.

Also, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the Lyman, Avdiivka, and Marinka directions, Kovaliov noted.

As reported by Ukrinform, over the past day, the Air Force of the Defense Forces launched 13 strikes on Russian manpower cluster, three strikes on anti-aircraft missile systems and one targeting a command post.
