Turkey’s factory explosion kills everyone inside


(MENAFN) Representative have announced that five people met their fate in an explosion on Saturday at an explosives plant on the borders of the Turkish capital.

“An explosion occurred at the MKE Rocket and Explosive Factory in [the] Elmadag district of Ankara,” a declaration from Turkey’s Defense Ministry stated. “As a result of the explosion, five of our workers were martyred. A judicial and administrative investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.”

The catastrophe accrued at nearly 8.45 AM regional time, The Washington Post declared, quoting a declaration to journalists from Ankara Governor tVasip Sahin. He also noted that the blast was probably caused by a chemical reaction throughout the manufacturing of dynamite, and that the explosion caused the downfall of a building, killing everyone inside.

Prosecutors have started an official probe, Sahin also noted, resounding the declaration from the Turkish Defense Ministry. The plant is situated about 40 km (25 miles) east of Ankara.
