Amir, Egyptian President Discuss Aid To Sudanese People


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani held Friday a telephone conversation with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
During the call, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them, in addition to latest regional and international developments, especially in Sudan.
The two sides emphasised the need to consider the humanitarian aspects, facilitate the flow of aid to those affected by the fighting in Sudan, and spare civilians the war consequences.
They also agreed to intensify co-ordination to provide support and assistance to the brotherly Sudanese people, and to mitigate the effects of the crisis, especially on Sudanese refugees, and for the concerned teams and committees in the two countries to start developing mechanisms and implementation plans to ensure that assistance reaches the deserving people of the brotherly Sudanese people.
