Doha: The General Directorate of Endowments at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has honoured the winners of Al 'Muhaddis Al Saghir' competition on memorising and reciting prophetic traditions. The contest was held under the supervision of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Ministry Education and Higher Education.
Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al Thani, Director of General Department of Endowments at Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, in a statement, praised the great turnout for this year's edition of the competition.
He said that the number of participants reached 6,705 male and female students and parents out of them 4,015 male and female students and parents received a good and above mark. Sheikh Khalid said that the competition comes in line with the objectives of the endowment fund to serve the Qur'an and Sunnah, and seeks to achieve many goals, including instilling love for the Prophet, in the hearts of the participants.
