PM Receives Int'l Humanitarian Law Report For 2022


(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN - Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh on Thursday received the annual report of the National Committee for International Humanitarian Law (NCIHL) for 2022.

Receiving the report from Chairman of the NCIHL, retired Lt. Gen. Mamoun Khasawneh, the PM was briefed on the committee's activities aimed to ensure consolidation of the principles and provisions of international humanitarian law, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The chairman added that the committee holds specialised workshops to raise awareness and define ways to implement this law at the national level, in addition to exchanging expertise with other countries in this field.

The premier commended the committee's efforts in raising awareness and spreading international humanitarian law in cooperation with the relevant official institutions. The prime minister added that he would instruct the relevant ministries and government institutions to cooperate with the committee to enable it to perform its role and duties.
