Amman, March 22 (Petra) -- The Grand Mufti of Jordan, Sheikh Abdul Karim Khasawneh, has declared Thursday the first day of the month of Ramadan.
The General Iftaa Department (GID) detected the crescent on Wednesday evening from the King Hussein bin Talal Mosque in Amman, marking the beginning of Ramadan.
