Kuwait University: GCC Student Cmte Deans' Meeting Supports Openness

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, March 20 (KUNA) -- Acting Director of Kuwait University Dr. Fahad Al-Rashidi confirmed Monday the 33rd meeting of the Deans of Student Affairs Committee in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, enhances opportunities for openness, communication and exchange of experiences between universities and Gulf higher education institutions.
This was in Dr. Al-Rashidi's speech during the opening of the meeting, which is being hosted by Kuwait in Sabah Al-Salem University City and will continue until tomorrow, Tuesday.
This meeting embodies the belief of the Deanships of Student Affairs activating the role of youth through the implementation of development plans that give youngsters an effective strategic role in growth considering the changes that the world is passing through to its future, Al-Rashidi said.
He pointed to the importan role of the Deanships of Student Affairs in highlighting and encouraging student talents, which contributes to achieving the 2030 UN Sustainable Development Goals, given that young people are the pivotal aspect of the educational process and are relied upon in achieving the knowledge and qualitative leap in the region.
In a similar speech, Acting Dean of Student Affairs at Kuwait University Dr. Dhari Al-Huwail said that this meeting confirms the depth of Gulf ties and interdependence between them, pointing out that the Gulf is full of creative humans.
The Deanships of Student Affairs deals with youths that must employ for the development of society by caring for them to create a conscious generation, he indicated.
The agenda of the meeting is full of activities that highlight the efforts and achievements of the Deanships of Student Affairs, especially the Deanship of Student Affairs at Kuwait University, to introduce them to the activities provided by the university through a tour of several faculties of Kuwait University, he stated.
