Kuwait Embassy In Pakistan, Around The World Celebrate Nat'l Holidays


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Feb 24 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Embassy in Pakistan celebrated on Friday the country's national holidays, also the country's embassies in Australia, India, Bangladesh, South Korea, and Kazakhstan marked the occasion.
On the occasion, Kuwait Ambassador to Pakistan Nassar Al-Mutairi delivered remarks in a speech sent to KUNA.
In his speech, Al-Mutairi said that 'on the glorious occasion of the sixty-second anniversary of the National Day of the State of Kuwait and the thirty-second anniversary of Liberation Day, the Embassy extends its sincere congratulations and blessings to His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince, and the honorable Kuwaiti people, recalling with all pride the heroic steadfastness of the people of Kuwait and their solid will in rejecting injustice and aggression and defending their homeland.
The ambassador also expressed 'with all gratefulness, appreciation and gratitude the courageous stances of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, its leadership and people, which had played an important role in liberating the State of Kuwait and restoring its freedom and sovereignty, praying to Allah Almighty to perpetuate upon our dear homeland, its leadership and its honorable people, the blessings of security and well-being, and to bless it with continuous progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir and his trustworthy Crown Prince, may Allah Almighty protect and safe them.'
'The State of Kuwait celebrates every year the anniversary of its National Day, and it is moving steadily towards renaissance and achieving prosperity and a decent life for its citizens, constantly seeking to transform into a modern state armed with science and knowledge, and to achieve equality in rights and duties among its citizens,' he added.
'After its independence, it has witnessed remarkable progress and development in all fields,' he said.
'On February 25 and 26 of each year, Kuwaitis confirm their pledge of love for the homeland, and they express the solidarity of all the people around their leadership for the sake of the nation's elevation and stability.
In these annual celebrations, Kuwaitis are also keen to raise the country's flag over their homes, cars, and public and private buildings, in addition to the remarkable lighting that adorns the streets, buildings and markets, in a scene that embodies the meanings of love and belonging to the homeland, and in a general scene that gives joy and pleasure,' he added.
Kuwait's embassies in India, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, United Kingdom, South Korea, and Australia held similar ceremonies marking the occasion. (end)
