Rio de Janeiro – The FIFA Club World Cup will start on Wednesday (1) in Morocco at 4 pm, when Egypt's Al Ahly and New Zealand's Auckland City play at the Ibn Batouta in Tanger.

But the Brazilian attention is focused on Flamengo, which is playing the tournament again after a three-year hiatus. The team plays at 4 pm on Tuesday (7) against Wydad Casablanca from Morocco, African champion, or as in 2019, against Saudi Al-Hilal , Asian champion.

Flamengo, the current champion of the Copa Libertadores da América, won the Club World Cup in 1981, when led by Zico , beat Liverpool of England. Now it's seeking the only title that is lacking for this new generation of the team.

Spain's Real Madrid starts the competition on Wednesday (8) against Concacaf champion, Seattle Sounders of the United States, which is waiting in the quarterfinals for the Egyptian Al Ahly, runner-up in Africa or Auckland City of New Zealand, the best team in Oceania.

The final match of the Club World Cup is scheduled for February 11.
