(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Russian troops have struck a residential area in the Donetsk region's Chasiv Yar with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).

The relevant statement was made by Donetsk Regional Military Administration Head Pavlo Kyrylenko on telegram , an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Chasiv Yar has again been shelled with Russian MLRS. Russians struck a residential area. A local school, apartment blocks and detached houses are on fire,” Kyrylenko wrote.

In his words, no casualties have been reported so far.

A reminder that, on January 26, 2023, six civilians were killed in Russia's shelling of the Donetsk region.
