Orchard development program launched in pomegranate gardens this year
(MENAFN) As asserted by a representative with the Agriculture Ministry, orchard development program was launched in the pomegranate gardens of the nation this year.
Zahra Jalili-Moqaddam, the director-general of the tropical and half-tropical fruits office of the ministry, stated that one of the plans of the Horticulture Department of the ministry is the adjustment and improvement of orchards, which was forced this year with the attempts of gardeners.
Asserting that pomegranates are outputted in all districts apart from Hamedan, she asserted that the field of orchards for this outputs is 90,000 hectares.
