Iran held phone discussion with Sweden to quickly free Hamid Nouri


(MENAFN) Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian has called on the new Swedish admiration to quickly take Hamid Nouri out of jail, a previous Iranian judiciary representative who is being detained in Sweden.

In a phone discussion with Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billstrom on Friday, Amir Abdollahian cautioned around the bad impact of such illegal imprisonment on the two nations’ relations.

Amir Abdollahian stated that Tehran and Stockholm's ties have been really effected negatively by the politicization of the Nouri condition and challenges to block a lawful probe into his condition by the terrorist Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MKO).

The senior Iranian diplomat mentioned that "certain difficulties have negatively damaged the relations between the two nations in recent years, which were mostly the consequence of negative movements and measures of a third party."

He went further on that "dialog and collaboration with the European Union have always been welcomed by the Islamic Republic."
