Sheikha Hessa Says She Is Leading Efforts For Women Empowering

KUWAIT, Oct 6 (KUNA) -- Chairwoman of the Arab Businesswomen Council Sheikha Dr. Hessa Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah has declared that she is leading efforts to support and empower women in Kuwait and Arab countries.
In remarks to KUNA after she was elected for the seventh consecutive term as the head of the council, Sheikha Hessa pledged to spare no effort for empowering the women and sharpen their skills for employment.
A plan for the council's seventh session (2022-2026) focuses on economic development, backing small and very small enterprises, she said, revealing that women excelling in their work would be awarded.
She declared that her Kuwaiti peer, Khairiah Dashti, was named the council secretary general, also for the seventh mandate in a row.
The council's seventh session was recently inaugurated at the Arab League headquarters. (end) ssd.rk
