Israeli Forces Detain 19 Palestinians In West Bank Raids

Israeli forces today detained 19 Palestinians, including three minors, from various parts of the occupied West Bank, according to Palestine News Agency. 

They said that Israeli forces rounded up an injured 19-year-old Palestinian in a morning raid that resulted in the killing of two others to the north of Jalazone refugee camp, north of Ramallah.

The detainee was identified as a resident of Birzeit town, north of the city.

The gun-toting soldiers rounded up two minors, both aged 15, after breaking into their parents' house in Beit Sira village, west of the city.

They also detained two brothers after storming ransacking the house of their family in Saffa village, west of the city.

In Jerusalem, Israeli police detained two others; one from his commercial store in the Old City and the other from al-Tur neighborhood.

Still in Jerusalem district, a resident of Shufat neighborhood was detained after being assaulted by the guards of the light rail.

The sources confirmed a raid in al-Jib village, northwest of the city, resulting in the detention of a 16-year-old minor.

In Bethlehem district, special Israeli forces sneaked their way into Jerusalem-Hebron Road, close to the entrance of Dheisha refugee camp, south of the city, and abducted another.

A similar raid in Ashawawra village, southeast of the city, resulting in the detention of another.

In Hebron district, the soldiers detained another from Sa'ir town, east of the city.

In the Jordan Valley, a convoy of military vehicles stormed Jericho city, and the soldiers detained two teens.

Also another resident of the city was detained after being summoned to the Israeli intelligence.

In the northern West Bank, the heavily-armed soldiers barged their way into Nablus city and detained two others.

Elsewhere in the northern West Bank, the soldiers showed up at Barta'a town, southwest of Jenin city, and detained a resident of Silat al-Harithiya town, west of the city.

Soldiers manning the intermittently staffed Ya'bad checkpoint, known to Israelis as Mevo Dotan, stopped and detained a resident of Jenin city.
