BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 14. Azerbaijan Army Units are subjected to artillery fire by Armenian armed forces in the Kalbajar direction, Trend reports via the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.

The units of the Armenian armed forces located in the direction of Yukhara Shorja, Ashagi Shorja, Zarkand settlements of Basarkechar districts using D-30 and D-20 guns subject positions of the Azerbaijani army in the direction of Zeylik, Ellidzha and Yukhara Ayrim settlements of Kalbajar region.

'Despite the appeals of the international community and the reached ceasefire agreement, Armenian armed forces continue attacks and provocations in the state border using artillery and other heavy weapons. Azerbaijan states that the entire responsibility for the aggravation of the situation lies with the military-political leadership of Armenia. Azerbaijani army is taking local retaliatory measures only against legitimate military targets. The Armenian side must refrain from provocative actions and comply with the ceasefire agreement,' the ministry said.
