Dimapur to host Nagaland handloom expo from Sept 5
Dimapur, Sept 1 (KNN) One-week long handicraft exhibition will commence at Urban Haat in Dimpur, Nagaland from September 5.
The exhibition is being organised by the Nagaland Handloom & Handicrafts Development Corporation (NHHDC) Ltd with the support of the Office of Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.
“All those interested artisan holding artisans ID card issued by the office of the development commissioner (Handicrafts) may apply for the exhibition by writing the project cell, NHHDC Ltd, Half Nagarjan, Dimapur, on or before september 3,” said an official release.
As per reports, NHHDC will provide free stalls to the artisan along with a lump sum allowances based on the guidelines of the scheme.
This exhibition will provide local artisans a common platform to display their products and build market linkages. The exhibition will conclude on September 11. (KNN Bureau)
