Ukraine Army Destroys Russia's Ka-52 Helicopter, Three Uavs


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) On August 16, 2022, the air-defense missile units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down Russia's Ka-52 helicopter and three unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

The relevant statement was made by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook , an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The air-defense missile units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have destroyed three UAVs and a Ka-52 helicopter. All targets were destroyed in the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk directions,” the report states.

Over the past day, Ukraine's strike aircrafts have launched up to 10 multiple strikes on the positions of Russian troops. With the support of fighter jets, Ukraine's Su-25 assault aircrafts and Su-24m bombers struck enemy platoon and company strong points, tank columns on the move, personnel and military equipment clusters.

A reminder that, between February 24, 2022 and August 17, 2022, Russia's total combat losses in Ukraine reached about 44,100 troops, as well as 196 helicopters.
