Emergency Ambulance Service Suspended In Several Areas

The 1990 emergency ambulance service has been suspended in several areas owing to the shortage of fuel.

The Suwa Seriya Ambulance Service urged the public to refrain from calling 1990 requesting for the service in the affected areas.

A full list of the specific areas in the respective districts where the Suwa Seriya Ambulance Service will not be available, has been published.

Accordingly, the 1990 Suwa Seriya Ambulance Service will not be available in parts of the Batticaloa, Anuradhapura, Polonaruwa, Puttalam, Badulla, Monaragala, Hambantota, Matara, Galle, Kalitara, Kegalla, Ratnapura, Vavuniya and Mullaitivu Districts.

Suwa Seriya said that the ambulance service might not be available in some adjoining areas apart from the specifically mentioned towns as well.
