Turkey, Australia Discuss Global Issues, Mutual Relations

(MENAFN) Turkish Leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Australia's Governor-General Sam Mostyn held a meeting to discuss the strengthening of mutual ties, along with global and regional challenges, based on a statement from Turkey’s Communications Directorate.

In the meeting, which took place in Ankara, Erdogan emphasized that Turkey would continue to enhance cooperation in various fields, especially in trade, tourism, and transportation.

He highlighted that these efforts would help fortify “deep ties between Türkiye and Australia through the actions to be undertaken.”

The Turkish leader also stressed the importance of intensifying international efforts to halt Israeli aggression in Palestinian territories, particularly in Gaza.

“Türkiye is making an intense effort to deliver uninterrupted aid to the region as quickly as possible, and that achieving permanent peace in the region can be realized through a two-state solution,” Erdogan stated.

The meeting, held at the Presidential Complex, was attended by Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Erdogan's chief adviser, and other senior officials.
