Bitcoin tries to break beyond USD30K barrier

(MENAFN) On Saturday, the cost of Bitcoin was trying to break beyond USD30,000 as demand in the bitcoin price remained poor.

Bitcoin, the globe's most valuable cryptocurrency by market capitalization, was exchanging at USD29,060 at 1210 GMT, down 4.7 percent on the day.

Ethereum, the globe's largest cryptocurrency, was also failing to break beyond USD2,000, exchanging at USD1,981 at the time, a 5.7 percent daily loss.

Luna, a once-popular cryptocurrency, had its cost plummet to nearly USD0 on Friday, plunging from the top 10 in only a few days. It had risen 1500 percent to USD0.00045 at the time, but it was still a long way from its previous high of USD99.24.
