Anonymous Bitcoin donations worth USD11M for Ukrainian military
(MENAFN) According to cryptocurrency specialists, anonymous Bitcoin donations have raised at least USD11 million (£8.2 million) for the Ukrainian military aggressions.
According to Elliptic, a blockchain analysis firm, the Ukrainian government, NGOs, and voluntary teams gathered the funds by posting their Bitcoin wallet credentials on the internet.
Thus far, over 4,000 gifts have been received, with one anonymous contributor sending USD3 million in Bitcoin to an NGO. The median donation is USD95.
The Ukrainian government's official Twitter account sent the following message: " Stand with the people of Ukraine. Now accepting cryptocurrency donations. Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT," all of which occurred on Saturday afternoon.
